We are pleased to congratulate Brookwood High School in Ontario, Wisconsin on their just completed fund raising effort using Great American Pancakes. Their best selling flavor was Buttermilk followed by Cinnamon.
If your organization or club is looking for a way to increase the balance in the treasury, please consider selling the best pancake mixes on the planet (not that I want to brag). Our product is unique, nutritious and above all tasty, therefore easy to sell.

End of the year , that is.
Judy and I would like to thank all of you for your continuing support and business, and would like to wish you and yours a very happy and safe Holiday Season.
Learned a little trick recently. I took a bag of our gourmet Gingerbread pancake mix and replaced the water called for with apple cider ( not the stuff with arsenic) and the results were outstanding and a completely new flavor experience. Try it!!

This Saturday Nov. 5th we will be participating in the annual Sparta craft fair at the Sparta high school from 9:00am until 5:00pm. We will be sampling two of our gourmet pancake mixes, Cinnamon and Angel Cakes. We will also be featuring our sample box of four different mixes in a shipable box and/or gift wrapped for a special show price of 2 for $30.00. Normally they are $16.00 each. A great opportunity to get a unique hostess gift. Hope to see you there.

Weekend in Onalaska

We spent the last two days at the annual Onalaska Craft Show. We had a show just slighty better than the previous year, however the attendance was down considerably. The weather was just too nice!! Our gourmet pancakes continue to be a very much sought after item both for personal use and as gifts. Our most popular flavors were Angel Cakes (vanilla batter with white chocolate) and Cinnamon. with a very strong showing by Brown Sugar and Oatmeal. Our next show will be in Sparta November 5th.

First corn of the year tonight. Got it at the Amish auction. Far beyond my expectations for the year’s first. Also fixed Kung Pao Chicken. Quite a combo, huh?
Berries and melons are plentiful and we got our usual 1/2 bushel of Georgia peaches. We are in heaven. I made a cobbler using gingerbread pancake as the top. Very good! If you are interested let me know and I’ll try to put down exactly what I did.

Some of you no doubt saw that we had a “gluten free” pancake mix available briefly. We have been advised that unless we can guarantee beyond a shadow of a doubt that there is no and I mean NO gluten in the mix, that we cannot represent the product as “gluten-free”. We of course cannot make that guarantee. There is always a chance for what they refer to as “cross contamination”. Naturally we do not wish to make anyone ill, nor do we want to expose ourselves to any needless liability. We were simply responding to the repeated request for such a mix, but I guess that is not to be. We are however, going to produce a pancake mix made from brown rice flour and tapioca starch, dry buttermilk, sugar,cinnamon, baking powder, soda,salt and xanthan gum. This is a great tasting pancake with just a hint of cinnamon. Keep in mind that this mix is produced in a facility where wheat flour is present, so draw your own conclusions. Because of the high cost of the rice flour the price per bag will be $7.50 for a one pound /2 batch bag. Call if you have questions. 608-654-5776.
